Host associations in Iran. Planococcus citri on Ficus carica ( Chodjai 1968, 1976, 1989), Pl. citri on Vitis vinifera ( OILB 1971), Pseudococcus filamentosus [ Nipaecoccus viridis ] on Citrus spp. (Khalaf & Aberoumand 1986), Planococcus vovae on cypress tree ( Xu & Lotfalizadeh 2000; Lotfalizadeh & Ahmadi 2000; Talebi et al. 2008); N. viridis on Citrus spp. (Hesami & Fallahzadeh 2004, 2005; Ghanbari et al. 2012); Maconellicoccus hirsutus on Morus alba (Fallahzadeh & Hesami 2004; Fallahzadeh et al. 2007); Planococcus sp. ( Ghahari et al. 2010), Planococcus ficus on Vitis vinifera ( Fallahzadeh et al. 2011) , Pl. vovae on Hesperocyparis arizonica and Trabutina crassispinosa on Tamarix ( Jalilvand et al. 2014) , Coccidae on Indian-almond and Planococcus citi (Ebrahimi 2014) .

Distribution in Iran. Tehran ( Chodjai 1968, 1976, 1989; OILB 1971; Modarres Awal 1994; Talebi et al. 2008), Fars (Khalaf & Aberoumand 1986; Modarres Awal 1997; Xu & Lotfalizadeh 2000; Lotfalizadeh & Ahmadi 2000; Fallahzadeh & Hesami 2004; Hesami & Fallahzadeh 2004; Hesami & Fallahzadeh 2005; Fallahzadeh et al. 2007, 2011; Ghanbari et al. 2012); East Azarbaijan ( Ghahari et al. 2010), Kermanshah ( Jalilvand et al. 2014), Mazandaran, Sistan & Baluchastan (Ebrahimi 2014).

General distribution. Cosmopolitan.
