Gómez-Menor (1941:126) indicates that Pentilia castanea Mulsant, 1850 and Cryptognatha nodiceps Marshall, 1912 were introduced to Dominican Republic from Puerto Rico in the fight against mealybugs. We have not found these species in extensive collections from this country, so we think they may have failed to become established.
