Genus Triassurella Nützel and Geiger, 2006

Type species: Triassurella carnica Nützel and Geiger, 2006 (by original designation), from the Late Triassic Cassian Formation in the Italian Alps.

Remarks: Although Nützel and Geiger (2006, p. 281) noted that the asymmetrical limpet shape with strong expansion rate as seen in Triassurella , Sutilizona and Temnocinclis is exclusively found in deep-sea families today, they placed Triassurella in the Scissurellidae . It is transferred here to the Sutilizonidae based on the strong similarities between Triassurella goederti n. sp. and Sutilizona theca McLean, 1989 .
