Potentilla repens Linnaeus , Amoenitates Academicae 4: 484. 1759.
Neotype (Rico & Muñoz Garmendia in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 542. 2002): France. Bouches du Rhone, Camargue, Tour du Valat, near Le Sambuc, 1 Sep 1967, Kendrick & Moyes 63 (BM-000576295).
Current name: Potentilla reptans L. ( Rosaceae ).
Note: Stearn (in Geck & Pressler, Festschr. Claus Nissen: 641. 1974) considered this to be a synonym of P. reptans L. (1753) . In the absence of any original material, Rico & Muñoz Garmendia designated a neotype which formalised this synonymy.
