Notes
Colonies massive appearing thickly encrusting. Maximum recorded size: 20 cm across. The colony surface consists of monocentric to meandroid, thin and ragged walls forming large valleys. Paliform lobes are commonly observed. Corallites between 12.0 to 15.0 mm in diameter. Colouration shades of brown. Platygyra and Favites appear similar, but both possess finer skeletal features (Fig. 98).
