Distribution and remarks: circumtropical. Eastern Atlantic: records from Cameroon and Bioko, Ascension, St Helena , and Cape Verde islands, but perhaps to Namibia, from 30°N to 23°S. Observed during dives in Mayumba, Port-Gentil and Cap Esterias (De Bruyne and Wozniac, pers. obs.).
