Distribution and remarks: known from the upper Niari, upper Louesse, Loeme, upper Kouilou and upper Ogowe River systems in Lower Guinea. Specimens from Foulakari River, a tributary of lower Congo River belongs to an undescribed species (Van der Zee, pers. com.).
