Lectotype (Gibbs in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 470. 1997): Herb. Burser XXII: 29 (UPS).

Current name: Genista germanica L. (Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Gibbs (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 27: 70. 1966) simultaneously designated both 892.21 (LINN) and van Royen material (L) as holotypes – an ineffective choice.
