Capnia View in CoL s.l., isolated species:
Besides the obvious species groups presently retained in the temporary classification as Capnia sensu lato, several isolated or poorly known species are also treated as Capnia s.l. ( Murányi et al. 2014). There are several in Palaearctic mainland Asia and Japan, but only one in the Oriental Realm. A further poorly known species, C. s.l. storkani Šámal, 1935 was described from nearby Palaearctic areas of the Tien Shan ranges (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China).
Capnia View in CoL s.l. gibbera Jewett, 1960 View in CoL
Jewett 1960: description of male, holotype and paratype from Himachal Pradesh State of India: Lahaul and Spiti District.
On the basis of the incomplete description, this species cannot be included in any defined species group or nominal
genera of Capniidae View in CoL . Known only from the two male type specimens.
Several Capniidae View in CoL data were reported from the Himalayas without specific identification: Bagmati zone of Nepal ( Zwick & Sivec 1980: Capnia View in CoL sp. larvae), Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan ( Kawai 1963: Capnia View in CoL sp. larvae), Himachal Pradesh State of India ( Jewett 1958: Capnia View in CoL sp. larvae), Jammu and Kashmir State of India ( Vos 1935: Capnia View in CoL sp. larvae), Sagarmantha zone of Nepal ( Boggero et al. 2014: Capnia View in CoL sp. larvae), Tibet Autonomous Region of China ( Kimmins 1946: Capnia View in CoL sp. 1♀). Most of these are probably belong to the cordata View in CoL or pedestris species groups.
