Type locality: without a precise location: “ Venezuela ” .

Distribution: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

Distribution in Colombia: Bogotá, Cundinamarca (4.7109; -74.0720) ( Feio 1944).

Repository of Colombian material: Feio (1944) mentioned several collections studied in Argentina and Brazil but none specific for the species in his paper. The specimens were not deposited in the MNRJ (Kury pers. com.).
