Cyrtolabulus sollicitus ( Giordani Soika, 1941) ( Figs. 9–10 )

Labus sollicitus Giordani Soika 1941: 181 , ♀, ♂ —“ Madagascar: Bekily ” (type lost).

Diagnosis. Recognized by the following combination of characters: head and mesosoma densely punctate, anterior face of pronotum densely punctate and not separated from dorsal face, tegula microreticulate and matte, metanotum with an anterior face and with transverse carina produced in two rounded lobes, propodeum entirely oblique from base to apex, T1 long and narrow, 1.8× as long as wide, S2 as long as T 2 in lateral view, apical margin of T3 simple.

Material examined. MADAGASCAR: Angavokely Mt. , 20.III.1984, leg. L.A. Nilsson, 1♀ ( MSNVE); Bekily, VII.1934, leg. A. Seyrig, 1♂ ( AMNH, paralectotype) .

Distribution. Madagascar: Antananarivo, Fianarantsoa, Toliara ( Giordani Soika 1941) ( Fig. 12 ).

Notes. Both in the original description ( Giordani Soika 1941) and in the subsequent designation of the lectotype ( Giordani Soika 1973) the type was stated to be deposited in MSNVE, but it was not found during the recent reorganization of the collection (cf. Dal Pos et al. 2022). It is to be considered lost. One pair of paralectotypes bearing original “ paratype ” labels is found in AMNH, but the female belongs to C. bekilyensis and is here designated as neotype of that species (see above).
