TYPE LOCALITY: Australia, New South Wales, Yarrundi .
DISTRIBUTION: N Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia ( Australia).
SYNONYMS: caurinus , darlingtoni , finlaysoni , troughtoni .
COMMENTS: Subgenus Vespadelus . Includes darlingtoni and caurinus ; see McKean et al. (1978:533); but see also Kitchener et al. (1987), who described finlaysoni and troughtoni , which are included here, as separate species, and transferred darlingtoni to sagittula .
