Type host: Eurillas latirostris latirostris (Reichenow) ( Passeriformes : Pycnonotidae ) from Rwanda.

Diagnosis. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae. Setae ve present. Setae vi situated posterior to level of setae si. Sensillae SEa-type. Agenital and pseudanal series with 2 pairs of setae, each. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–1–1–0, trochanters 1–1–0–0, femora 7–4–3–3, genua 4–4–3–3, tibiae 5–3–3–3. All setae on genu and tibia of leg I similar in shape. Claws with basal angles. In larvae, antaxial and paraxial claw pair of leg I unequal, antaxial sharp-ended, paraxial blunt-ended.

Hosts and distribution. Passeriformes (Pycnonotidae) : Bleda syndactylus wOOsnami Ogilvie-Grant from unknown locality in Central Africa ( Fain 1958a; see remark), Eurillas latirOstris latirOstris (Reichenow) (= E. l. eugenius) from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] ( Fain 1956b).

Locustellidae : SchOenicOla brevirOstris alexinae (Heuglin) from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] ( Fain 1971).

Remark. This mite species was reported from an individual of Bleda syndactylus wOOsnami died in the Antverpen Zoo ( Fain 1958a). This host is distributed in the Central Africa (from east Democratic Republic of the Congo to south Sudan, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia ( Clements et al. 2016)).
