TYPE: Female holotype taken at an elevation of 5 m on a beach 6 km south of Cruz Grande, 29°29′S, 71°19′W, Elqui, Region IV (Coquimbo), Chile (Nov. 11, 1993; N. Platnick et al.), deposited in AMNH (PBI_ OON 51329 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .
DIAGNOSIS: Females can be recognized by the elongated anterior portion of the sternum ( fig. 578) and the relatively short, wide anterior genitalic process, which has a short distal cap ( figs. 581, 582).
MALE: Unknown.
FEMALE (PBI_ OON 51329 View Materials , figs. 578–582): Total length 1.22. Surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth. Eyes two; ALE touching. Sternum with anterior channels, surface smooth, microsculpture absent; setae densest laterally. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Anterior genitalic process relatively short, wide, with short distal cap.
OTHER MATERIAL EXAMINED: None.
DISTRIBUTION: Chile (Elqui).
