Description. See McAlpine (1968: 267), Sinclair and McAlpine (1995: table 1).
Distribution. Eastern Australia—from Cape York Peninsula to Tasmania; South Australia—southern coast; Western Australia—south-west district; New Guinea—far west, north-east, and south-east of main island. Notes. Because much more material has become available since the previous review of the genus ( McAlpine 1968) and this includes two new species, I present a revised key to the species.
