Lectotype (Ali in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 36: 37. 1973): Herb. Hermann 2: 44, No. 215 (BM-000621661).

Current name: Dichrostachys cinerea (L.) Wight & Arn. ( Fabaceae : Mimosoideae ).

Note: Linnaeus simultaneously published both Mimosa cinerea L. (1753: 517, No. 10) and M. cinerea L. (1753: 520, No. 25). Realising his mistake, he renamed the former as M. cineraria L. (1759) and retained M. cinerea for the latter (see Art. 53.6 Ex. 18).
