An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Carnivora : Herpestidae and Hyaenidae , and Rodentia : Sciuridae ; adults and nymphs have been collected from Carnivora : Viverridae ; adults alone have been recovered from Carnivora (several orders). There are no records of Haemaphysalis zumpti causing human parasitism.
