An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , but they have also been recovered from Artiodactyla : Suidae , Perissodactyla : Equidae and Rhinocerotidae , Carnivora : Canidae and Felidae , and rarely from Galliformes : Phasianidae ; larvae and nymphs have been collected from Rodentia : Muridae and Spalacidae . Rhipicephalus jeanneli is a very rare parasite of humans.
