Lectotype (Tucker & al. in Taxon 29: 237, f. 9. 1980): Kalm, Herb. Linn. No. 730.18 ( LINN) .

Current name: Mentha canadensis L. View in CoL ( Lamiaceae ).

Note: Although Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 8. 1929) stated that the Linnaean sheet is "probably also the historical type", this falls short of formal typification.
