Collections studied from the Guianas: 3 (GU: 3)
Guyana: Mt. Roraima, 1842-43, Schomburgk 31 ( P); s.loc., s.d., M. R. Schomburgk 1192 ( B, P, K); s.loc., s.d., Schomburgk s.n. ( HBG).
Note: This species shows a very fragmented range, with one locality in Guyana, linking the Atlantic Forest of SE Brazil and the Lesser Antilles. Compared to our previous article ( Øllgaard et al., 2020: 118) we confirm that this species is also known from the Dominican Republic (Greater Antilles) by a collection from May 2019 ( W. Testo 2310, AAU!, VT!).
