Tydeus kabutarahangensis n. sp. (Figs. 19)
DIAGNOSIS: All dorsal setae serrate, except for trichobothrium (sci), which is smooth, and twice as long as most dorsal setae, striae transverse between setae d 1, palptarsus (28) almost twice as long as movable cheliceral digit (16) and empodial claws absent.
FEMALE (1 specimen)
Dimension of holotype as follows: length of idiosoma 447 and width 233.
Dorsum (Figs. 12) Dorsum with two pairs of slitlike lyrifissures (Fig. 1), one pair (ia) lateral to c 1 and one pair (im) lateral to d and 12 pairs of serrated dorsal setae (not indicated as such in Fig. 1), except for trichobothrium which is filiform and smooth (Fig. 2). Setal measurements as follows: vi 22, ve 25, sci 54, sce 25, c 1 22, c 2 25, d 22, e 22, f 1 25, f 2 32, h 1 28, h 2 32.
Ven t er (Fig. 3) Anogenital area with six pairs of genital, four pairs of aggenital and two pairs of anal setae (Fig. 3). Epimeral formula 3142.
Gnathosoma (Figs. 45) Setal pattern of palp (tarsus –genu): 6(1) 2 2, tarsus with seta p ' Tshaped distally, d forked and ba very short (fig.4). Movable digit halflength of palptarsus (Fig. 5). Length of palp 69.
Legs (Figs. 69) Length of legs I IV as follows: leg I 186, leg II 161, leg III 170 and leg IV 189.
All legs with two claws and a hairy empodium, empodial claws absent. Solenidion (I) on tarsus I short and slender (Fig. 5), solenidion (II) on tarsus II very small, seta k on tibia I very short and forked. Tarsus I with f t' and ft” subequal in length and ft' normal and tc', tc" and ft" eupathidial ( Andre, 1981b).
Leg setal formulae as follows: tarsi 8 (1)6(1)55; tibiae 3+1 k 222; genu 3211; femora 3211; trochanters 1010; coxae 2131.
MALE: Unknown.
FIGURES. 19. Tydeus kabutarahangensis n. sp. (Female) 1. Dorsal view; 2. Dorsal setae (seta c1); 3. Anogenital area; 4. Chelicera stylet; 5. Palp; 6. Leg I; 7. Leg II; 8. Leg III; 9. Leg IV.
REMARKS: Tydeus kabutarahangensis is similar to T. praeditus Livshitz & Zapletina but differs from the latter in that the palptarsus is almost three times longer, 32, opposed 12 in T. praeditus and in that the trichobothrium (sci) is smooth instead of serrated as in latter. ETYMOLOGY: The name of this species refers to the type locality.
TYPE MATERIAL: Female holotype collected from soil covered with wheat, Kabutarahang, Gheseljeh, 24 Oct. 1993, Dr. J. Eslami.
