Type material examined. Paratype (in MHNG, Fig. 9): ♂, three printed labels: ‘ China: Sichuan, Wolong Natur. Res., 500 m, litter, 16.v.94, leg. Kurbatov / Triomicrus punctifrons sp. n. Kurbatov & Löbl / Paratype (yellow)’.
Other material examined. (10 ♂♂, 11 ♀♀, all in SNUC). 1 ♂, 1 ♀, labeled ‘ China: Chongqing City, Chengkou County (城 口县), East Daba Shan (大巴山), lower Huang'an-Gou (黄 安沟), 31°51’23’’N, 109°07’17’’E, 2039 m, 22. iv.2008, Hao Huang & Wang Xu leg.’; 1 ♂, labeled ‘ China: Sichuan Prov., Bazhong City, Nanjiang Coun. (南江县), Micang Shan (米仓山), Daba (大坝), 32°39’83’’N, 107°01’79’’E, 1798 m, 27.iv.2008, Hao Huang & Wang Xu leg.’; 5 ♂♂, 6 ♀♀, labeled ‘ China: Shaanxi, Nanzheng County (南 郑县), Liping Forest Park (黎平), 32°50’20’’N, 106°36’18’’E, 1400–1600 m, mixed leaf litter, sifted, 15.vii.2012, Y.H. Pan leg.’; 2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀, labeled ‘ China: Sichuan, Dujiangyan City, Qingcheng Shan (青城山), Baiyun Temple (白 云寺), 30°56’56’’N, 103°28’28’’E, mixed leaf litter, sifted, 1650 m, 27.vii.2009, Yin, Peng & Dai leg.’; 1 ♂, 2 ♀♀, labeled ‘ China: Sichuan, Dujiangyan City, Qingcheng Shan, Cuiying Lake (翠映湖), 30°55’53’’N, 103°28’15’’E, mixed leaf litter, sifted, 1300 m, 31.vii.2009, Yin, Peng & Dai leg.’.
Remarks. Males of this species can be easily separated from those of all other congeners by a combination of the following characters: antennomeres XI enlarged, with a protuberance near the base ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 B, 7C); protibiae with small apical protuberance; mesotibiae with small apical spur; abdominal sternite VII with apical lamina ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 F) transverse, pointed at apex of lateral margin. This species was described from Wolong Nature Reserve, and here we record it also from eastern Daba Shan, Micang Shan, Liping Forest Park and Qingcheng Shan. Distribution. Southwest China: Chongqing and Sichuan, Northwestern China: Shaanxi. (new provincial record).
