Remarks.
A widespread near-cosmopolitan species, first recorded from Spain by Tonnoir (1920) under the synonym Telmatoscopus meridionalis (Eaton, 1894). Its biology is summarised in Boumans et al. (2009) and Ježek et al. (2012); for a review of its taxonomy see Ibañez-Bernal (2008).
