Domažlice (6543), 49°25′57″N 12°54′22″E, 445 m, Populus , 4.x.2020, 2 ♁♁ ( MCH) GoogleMaps ; ditto, 9.x.2020, 1 ♁ ( MCH) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Belgium, Czech Republic, Russia ( Negrobov & Naglis 2016), and Sweden ( Persson et al. 2019).
Status in CZ. Previously recorded only from Vranovice in southern Moravia ( Olejníček 1982, as M. faminina ). The relevant male specimen ( 3.iv.1971, R. Rozkošný lgt.) was not available for study (deposited probably in MZMC). The first records from Bohemia are given herein .
Ecology. Medetera feminina is most often encountered on trunks of poplar trees in rather humid biotopes, which is also confirmed by the new records.
