Megachile flabellipes Pérez 1895: 23 View in CoL , ♀ ♂, “[no locality given: France]”.

Type material: Several syntypes have been examined, all probably originating from France even if this species was described in Pérez’s work “ Mellifères de Barbarie ” ( MNHN) .

Additional material: EGYPT: 1 ♂, Sinai, Wadi Tubug 1600 m, 23.6.1998, leg. Freidberg & Kaplan ( SMNH); see also Norfolk and Dathe (2019) .

Distribution: Widely distributed in southern Europe and from the Sinai Peninsula through the Middle East, eastwards to Iran.
