Disparomitus schoutedeni Navás, 1925 View in CoL nomen dubium
( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 53 , 90 View FIGURES 84–95 )
Disparomitus schoutedeni Navás, 1925: 126 View in CoL
Diagnosis. Wing length: ♀ forewing 40, hind wing 35. Species known only from the holotype ♀ ( Fig 53 View FIGURES 53 ). It is characterized by the large longitudinal black stripe on the mesoscutellum and the lack of yellow dots on the mesoprescutum ( Fig. 90 View FIGURES 84–95 ).
In the original description Navás mentions that the first abdominal tergite is saddle-shaped and adds « Je trouve partriculière dans cette espèce la forme du tergite abdominal I, chez la ♀, semblable à celui du ♂ ». Owing to the poor state of preservation of the specimen it is not possible to confirm the shape of the first abdominal tergite. More material is needed to be able to redescribe the species more acurately and to confirm its placement in the genus Disparomitus .
Material examined ( 1 ♀). Lectotype ♀ (designated here), DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO, Lundu , -5.2666667/12.816667, alt. 130 m, 19.x.1920, Dr. H. Schouteden leg., Disparomitus lunduensis (nomen nudum) det. Tjeder, 1977 (00726, R. DÉT. K 1102 MRAC) ( Fig. 53 View FIGURES 53 ).
Note. The original description does not specify the number of type specimens, but the sentence in French above suggests that at least one male specimen was examined. The specimen I examined is designated as lectotype in application of the recommendation 73F of the ICZN, 1999.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 139 View FIGURE 139 ).
