Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific region.
Habitat. Symbiont of Echinothrix Peters, 1853 [ E. calamaris (Pallas, 1774) , in the Hawaiian Is.] and infrequently of other sea urchins; shallow subtidal to 47 m.
