Description. FEMALE ( Figs. 5–8 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 ). Body weakly sclerotized. Length of idiosoma 275 (270–290), width 170 (165– 175). Gnathosoma ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Similar to that of P. brevicaudus sp. nov. Lengths of gnathosomal setae: cha 9 (9–11), chb 15 (15–17), m 13 (13–14). Idiosomal dorsum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A). Only posterior part of prodorsum covered by anterior margin of tergite C, with 1 pair of round stigmata with transverse slit-like opening, 2 pairs of setae (v 2, sc 2) and 1 pair of clavate and weakly barbed trichobothria (sc 1) with pointed apex. All dorsal plates smooth. Setae v 2 smooth, other dorsal setae distinctly barbed. Setae sc 2, c 1, c 2 and h 2 pointed, other dorsal setae blunt-ended. Posterior margin of tergite C weakly concave; posterior margin of tergite EF distinctly concave; posterior margin of tergite H without tongue-like elongation. Cupules ia on tergite D and ih on tergite H small, round. Lengths of dorsal setae: v 2 9 (9–11), sc 2 40 (39–44), c 1 65 (61–67), c 2 69 (68–70), d 44 (43–45), e 25 (25–28), f 65 (64–70), h 1 45 (44–47), h 2 26 (26–33). Distances between setae: v 2 –v 2 35 (34–36), sc 2 –sc 2 39 (38–41), c 1– c 1 51 (51–57), c 1– c 2 33 (32–35), d– d 53 (52–55), e–f 12 (12–13), f–f 59 (58–64), h 1– h 1 23 (22–27), h 1– h 2 16 (15–17). Idiosomal venter ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B). All ventral plates smooth. Setae 1 b not bifurcate. Pseudanal setae smooth, other ventral setae sparsely barbed. Ap1 well-developed and joined with appr; ap2 weakly developed, thin, joined with appr; appr and apsej well-developed; ap3 well-developed, straight. Ap4 well sclerotized, long and joined with appo; apodemes 5 absent. Posterior margin of posterior sternal plate weakly convex in middle part. Posterior margin of aggenital plate rounded. Ags small, bell-like, pgs large, triangular, mgs small, oval. Lengths of ventral setae: 1 a 39 (37–40), 1 b 31 (30–32), 2 a 44 (42–45), 2 b 22 (21–24), 3 a 34 (33–35), 3 b 40 (39–42), 3 c 30 (30–34), 4 a 44 (43–45), 4 b 51 (50–55), 4 c 50 (49– 54), ps 1 23 (22–23), ps 2 23 (22–23), ps 3 15 (14–15). Legs ( Figs. 7 View FIGURE 7 , 8 View FIGURE 8 ). Leg setation as in P. brevicaudus sp. nov. Leg I ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A) only slightly shorter than leg II. Tibiotarsus not thickened, with terminal claw situated on distinct pretarsus, tip of its claw thin. Lengths of solenidia ω 1 10 (10)> ω 2 5 (4–5) <φ 1 7 (7–8)> φ 2 6 (6–7); ω 2 baculiform, φ 1 and φ 2 weakly clavate, ω 1 finger-shaped. Eupathidium tc” situated on very short pinnaculum. Setae d of femur broadened, slightly curved at the tip. Setae l’ and v’ of genu blunt-ended, barbed; seta l’ of femur blunt-ended, smooth, other leg setae (except eupathidia) pointed and sparsely barbed. Leg II ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 B). Tarsus with sickle-like, padded claws and large flipper-like empodium. Solenidion ω 9 (9) finger-shaped, solenidion φ 5 (5) weakly clavate. All leg setae barbed; setae v’ of genu and l’ of tibia blunt-ended, other leg setae pointed. Leg III ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 A) similar in shape and length to leg II. Claws and empodium of same shape as on tarsus II. Solenidion φ 5 (5) weakly clavate. All leg setae barbed. Seta d of femur blunt-ended, other leg setae pointed. Leg IV ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 B). Tarsus long and thin, pretarsus short, with 2 small simple claws and small empodium. Solenidion φ 6 (6) weakly clavate. All leg setae barbed; setae v’ of genu and tibia and v” of tibia blunt-ended, other leg setae pointed.

MALE and LARVA unknown.

Type material. Female holotype, slide No. AK 130915 /1, RUSSIA: Kurgan Province, Zverinogolovskiy district, vicinity of settlement Ukrainets, 54°24ʹ11.6ʺN, 64°49ʹ08.6ʺE, on ants Lasius umbratus , 13 September 2015, coll. A.A. Khaustov; paratypes: 3 females, same data.

Etymology. The name of a new species refers to the name of the Kurgan Province in Russia, where it was collected.

Differential diagnosis. The new species is very similar to P. brevicaudus sp. nov. by smooth pseudanal setae and similar lengths of the idiosomal setae. It differs from P. brevicaudus sp. nov. by solenidion ω 2 being about two times shorter than ω 1 (vs. ω 2 slightly longer than ω 1 in P. brevicaudus sp. nov.), setae ps 1 and ps 2 subequal (vs. ps 1 distinctly longer than ps 2 in brevicaudus sp. nov.) and setae h 2 distinctly shorter than h 1 (vs. h 2 and h 1 subequal in brevicaudus sp. nov.).
