Specimens examined. Jarabacoa (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, one female on Cecropia peltata View in CoL L. ( Cecropiaceae ); six females and two males on Inga vera Willdenow (Leguminosae) . Manabao (Cordillera Central), 30-IX- 2008, one female and one male on Ocotea leucoxylon (Swartz) Lanessan (Lauraceae) View in CoL .

Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Marie Galante, México, Perú and Trinidad-Tobago. The measurements of five adult females collected are similar to those of the holotype, except for the longer macrosetae on leg IV, similarly to specimens collected in Marie-Galante by Moraes et al. (2000). The average measurements for the females collected are: dorsal shield, 295 µm long (266–310) and 172 wide (168–176); ventrianal shield, 100 µm long (95–105) and 51 wide (46–54).
