Diagnosis. Characters that differentiate E. vitticolle from all species other than those of its species-group are presented in the diagnosis for E. laphygmae . Within its group, the completely yellow mesopleuron is the main character to recognize this species and distinguishes it from the morphologically similar E. laphygmae , a species with black marks on the mesopleuron. Dorsal brown/black marks on red metacoxa in turn separate E. vitticolle from E. nelitae sp. nov., as the latter species has yellow metacoxa without any marking.
Comments. One female of Laguna de Ariguanabo has the ovipositor slightly shorter than metatibia length instead of 1.20–1.30X metatibia length as in most specimens. We consider it conspecific because it is otherwise similar to the other specimens.
