Discussion. Poecilocoris separabilis was described from Guizhou province of China and as far as we are aware it has never been reported again after its original description. Dissection of one male paralectotype and direct comparison to “typically” coloured specimens of P. l e w i s i from China and Taiwan revealed that its genitalia does not differ from those of the latter species. As a consequence, it is regarded as conspecific with the latter and it is placed in the synonymy of P. l e w i s i.
