Type species: Sphenocondor gracilis sp. nov.

Diagnosis: As for type and only known species.

Etymology: ‘S pheno’ refers to the Sphenodontia, and ‘condor’ is after the nearby village of Cerro Cóndor, Chubut Province, Argentina.
