Habitat.

Shallow water ( Huber 2015).

Distribution.

Indo-West Pacific, from southern China to New Guinea ( Huber 2015).

Record in Thailand.

Gulf of Thailand ( Wells et al. 2021).

Taxonomic remarks and comparisons.

Tellina ( Tellinides) sp. in Robba et al. (2002) was identified as belonging to this species by Huber (2015). This species differs from its similar species, Tellinides timorensis Lamarck, 1818 , by having a higher shell that lacks the posterior truncation with oblique anterior striae fading posteriorly ( Robba et al. 2002; Huber 2015).
