Diagnosis. Elytra deep blue, a rounded testaceous subapical spot on each elytron extending through intervals 4 to 8; elytral intervals punctate pubescent; pronotum ovoid, coarsely punctate pubescent; median tooth of mentum slightly emarginate at apex; labrum truncate at apex; apical segment of maxillary palpi for ♂ diamond shaped; lamella of aedeagus sub-truncate at apex.

Description. BL = 8.44 mm, HW= 1.48 mm, PL= 1.80 mm, PW= 2.04 mm, EL= 5.44 mm, EW= 3.20 mm

Head and pronotum black with coppery lustre, pronotum with greenish lustre laterally, lateral margins brown. Antennomere 1-3, femora, tibia and apical spot on elytron testaceous; palpi, tarsal segments brown, rest antennomeres, coxae fuscous. Labrum and mandibles dark brown colour. Elytra bluish black.

Head small, finely punctate, nearly smooth in middle, fovea shallow, occiput impunctate. Labrum truncate at apex, apical angles rounded; clypeus truncate at apex. Last segment of maxillary palpi for male diamond shaped, compressed at the pointed extremity, female somewhat triangular, obliquely truncate and compressed at apex, last segment of labial palpi for both male and female securiform. Median tooth of mentum slightly emarginate at apex.

Pronotum ovoid, convex, width almost equal to length, equally contracted at extremities, quite uniformly rounded from base to apex, without border, the explanate margin rather gently reflexed and increasing in width from apex to base; basal angles distinct, obtuse and rounded. Median line prominent but not reaching anterior and posterior margin; basal fovea shallow and elongate. Surface coarsely punctate, shortly pubescent, explanate margins without punctures.

Elytra moderately convex, elongate-ovate, striate punctate, intervals moderately convex, surface closely rather finely punctate, shortly pubescent; testaceous spot a little more than 1/3rd from apex covering intervals 4-8.

Prosternum, proepisternum coarsely punctate, shortly pubescent; prosternal process bordered; mesosternum and metasternum almost impunctate medially, coarsely punctate shortly pubescent laterally; mesepisternum and metepisternum coarsely punctate shortly pubescent. Abdominal sternites glabrous medially, moderately very finely punctate pubescent laterally.

Aedeagus stout at apical half i.e., the diameter gradually increases from base to apex; median lobe of aedeagus abruptly bent near base; apex of apical lamella sub-truncate, bents ventrally, length of apical portion very short.
