Comments
This species can be separated from the other species of the varius group by the following characters: antennal segments white, except for C1 and C2 dark brown; gaster with the anterior tergites mostly yellow, and the posterior tergites dark brown; fore wing with pale area bearing fine pale setae reaching from the distal submarginal vein to 1/2 length of marginal vein, the remaining area infuscate, comprising short black setae on an infuscate background, except base and distal wing weakly pale.
