Cyclaspis vargasae Petrescu & Heard, 2004: 5–8, Figs 2–3 (Type locality: NW coast of Costa Rica, Station 8, off San Jose Island, Murcielago Island. Holotype subfemale, UCRZM 2382-02; Paratype male, UCR 8382-01; Paratype female, MGAB CUM 1448).—Petrescu et al. 2009: 202, 237–244 (CD-Rom Species List 18.2).

Geographic distribution. Only known from type locality. Habitat. Found in fine sand-silt, depth 35 m.

Observation. This species was not found in our samples.
