Type species. Tribochrysa inaequalis Scudder, 1885 , by subsequent monotypy.
Emended diagnosis. The venation is similar to that of Palaeochrysa View in CoL but may be distinguished from it by the fore- and hind wing Psm strongly zigzagged [ Palaeochrysa View in CoL : nearly straight, very slightly zigzagged], Psm formed only by two-three branches of RP [ Palaeochrysa View in CoL : five branches], and RP with eight branches [ Palaeochrysa View in CoL : 13 branches].
Species included. T. inaequalis and T. firmata Scudder, 1890 View in CoL .
