Examined material. Turkey: Mersin, 24 km W Anamur, 300 m, 36.10° N, 32.41° E, A. Skale leg. 18.V.2002, 1ɗ (Naturkundemuseum, Erfurt); Bulgaria: Nessebar [Nesebâr coast], T. Palm leg. 1965, 1ɗ, 1Ψ (coll. Bordoni, Florence).

Comments. The species was described from Antalya in Turkey and is biogeographically significant because it is the first Eastern Mediterranean representative of Lepidophallus ( Bordoni 2004) , which supports the hypothesis that the genus, which is widespread in the Oriental Region, in the Manchurian part of the Palaearctic Region ( Bordoni 2000, 2002) and in the Western Mediterranean ( Bordoni 1976), should also occur in the intermediate countries. The new record from Bulgaria extends its known distribution to the west (Burgas in Rumelia, Black See).
