Patellapis pulchrinitens species-group

The males of this species-group differ from other species-groups by the lack of apical bristles on the posterior margin of metasomal sternum S4 ( Fig. 98d ; Fig. 102d ), the lack of (dense) hair patches on metasomal sterna S5–S6, the equal length of A3 and A4, and the slender, lower gonostylus. The P. pulchrinitens species-group comprises eight species: P. abnormis , P. drakensbergensis , P. minima , P. pulchrinitens , P. renosterveldi , P. sakagamii , P. spinulosa and P. timpageleri .
