Type species: Eurymorphopus cunctatus ( Bolívar, 1887) , by original designation.

Composition. The genus consists of two species from New Caledonia.

Remark. This genus was described in the section Metrodorae ( Hancock, 1907), later placed in the subfamily Metrodorinae ( Günther, 1939; Otte, 1997), and finally transferred to Cladonotinae ( Tumbrinck, 2014) . The species Eurymorphopus dubius Günther, 1974 from Mauritius not belonging to Eurymorphopus ( Skejo et al., 2020) here is provisionally placed in Morphopoides Rehn, 1930 , although M. dubius (Günther, 1974) , comb. nov. differs from the species of latter genus by absent of tegmina and hind wings.
