Chrysis ignita ( Linnaeus, 1758)
Sphex ignita Linnaeus, 1758: 571 View Cited Treatment . Lectotype ♀ designated by Richards 1935: 159; Europe (Linnean Society, London). Chrysis ignata (!): Thakkar & Parikh 2018: 23 (cat., Gujarat).
Distribution. India (Gujarat). West-Palaearctic: from West Europe to central Asia ( Linsenmaier 1997). Linsenmaier (1968) reported one specimen from Pakistan (Chillagh Hills).
Remarks. Thakkar & Parikh (2018) identification should be considered as sensu latu, being Chrysis ignita the most complicated taxonomical species group, including more than 100 species, sometimes impossible to identify without molecular analyses ( Paukkunen et al. 2015). The occurrence in India should be confirmed.
