Type:— NEW ZEALAND, rocks near the sea at Charlestown, south of Westport , no date, W. Townson 504 (holotype: AK 7316 , isotype; AK 7317 ).
Distribution:— New Zealand, endemic ( Glenny 2004; de Lange et al. 2010; de Lange et al. 2018).
Eponymy:— Named in honour of New Zealand Botanist, Dr. David Steven Glenny (1955−), in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the knowledge of Gentianella in that country.
