Host plant cited. Larval: Betula . Adult: Salix matsudana , Salix cinerea .
Remarks. So far, not many faunal records were published from China for this species. Recently, Agrilus viridis was discovered in three provinces (see Examined specimens) on Salix and Betula . In Yanchi, A. viridis was collected together with A. dureli on Salix matsudana ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 4 A–4C).
Agrilus viridis is common pest of planted trees in urban areas. In Bratislava ( Slovakia), infestation of planted Acer , Betula and Tilia was frequently observed. In natural habitats, the galleries were found in Corylus , Salix and Fagus ( Figs 10 View FIGURES 10 A–10E, 11A–11E). The character of galleries varies considerably according to the host plant and its condition, attacked part, larval density and other factors.
