Remarks: Two taxa, Dipodarctus borrori and Hemitanarctus chimaera , were described at the same time and later synonymised (Grimaldi de Zio et al. 2003), with one from Hawaii and the other from the Ionian Sea. The species is intertidal and interstitial, collected 0–60 cm deep in sand sediment.
