WL: 20mm. A. acerata is a forest species, now reported for the first time for Guinea-Bissau . This constitutes the northernmost record of this species, as it was formerly known from Sierra Leone to Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, DRC, Sudan and Kenya, and south to Mozambique, northern Botswana and northern Namibia. The caterpillars feed on Ipomoea, Lepistemum and Merremia (Convolvulaceae) , Passiflora (Passifloraceae) and Solanum (Solanaceae) .
