Type species: Labasiella varipennis SPINOLA 1849: 409. By original designation.
J u n i o r S y n o n y m: Exochonotus BARR 1980: 179. Type species: Lebasiella varipennis SPINOLA, nov.syn.
Diagnosis: The tubercles on the pronotal disc are found in Labasiella SPINOLA and Oncochelyna OPITZ. Labasiella specimens show a subsecuriform ( Fig. 54B View Figs 44-56 ) terminal maxillary and labial palpomere. These structures are strongly securiform in Oncochelyna.
Description: This genus was adequately described in OPITZ (2017a: 62). Additional characteristics are: Pronotal sides reticulated and elytral posterior slope gradual ( OPITZ 2017: 111).
