Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the forewing ground color ochreous yellow, white along the distal 5/6 of the costal margin, yellowish white from below the fold to the dorsal margin, and with a longitudinal white line along the upper margin of the cell ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 a). It is similar to Pyroderces argyrogrammos , but can be distinguished by the male valvae with setose basal lobes ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 b), and the female signa consisting of paired rows of densely compact spines of similar shape and size ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 c).
Distribution. New to China (Fujian, Guizhou, Jiangxi); also in Japan and Russia (Far East) ( Kuroko 1982; Sinev 1999).
