Type Locality: None given, listed as Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Chile by Gray (1850:112).
Vernacular Names: Chilean Dolphin.
Synonyms: Cephalorhynchus albiventris (Perez Canto in Philippi 1893) ; Cephalorhynchus obtusata (Philippi 1893) .
Distribution: Chile: coastal waters between Valparaiso and Navarino Isl, Tierra del Fuego.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Data Deficient.
Discussion: Reviewed by Goodall et al. (1988). Tursio ? panope is not a synonym (see Lagenorhynchus obscurus ).
