8. Eurya rubiginosa Hung T. Chang (1954: 45) View in CoL .
Type:— CHINA. Guangdong: Conghua, Zhangwu, Sanjiao Shan, Zhangweicun, in thicket, abundant, shrub, 3 feet high, fruits blackishblue, March 1935, Huai-De Zeng 24847 (lectotype IBSC-0003682!, here designated). Remaining syntype:— CHINA. Guangdong: Xinfeng, Huameitang, Shaluo Shan, thicket, fairly common, 8 feet high, flowers white, Dec. 1937, Huai-De Zeng 229 (IBSC-0003683!).
Two gatherings, Huai-De Zeng 24847 and Huai-De Zeng 229, were designated as male and female “type” in Chinese, respectively, in the protologue ( Chang 1954). Each gathering was found to contain one sheet. The one we designate as the lectotype has a paper bag with a flower dissected presumably by the original author, while the other just has a leaf in the bag attached to it. This species was originally described from Guangdong and it occurs in S Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, S Hunan, S Jiangsu, Jiangxi, SE Yunnan, Zhejiang ( Ming & Bartholomew 2007).
