Type species. Elcanonympha diana Heads & Thomas , sp. nov.
Etymology. A combination of Elcana and the word nymph.
Diagnosis. Pronotum cut by a single, shallow transverse sulcus; pro- and mesofemora with one inner and one outer, leaf-like apical spurs; dorsal margin of metafemoral genicula with row of prominent apical denticles; distal third of metabasitarsus with row of apically directed scale-like spines on ventral surface.
